Every summer, the Student Employment and Experience Development Program (SEED) - Student Entrepreneurship Component allows youths from 16 years old who want to start their own business to do so and create their own summer job. This program, funded by the Department of Training & Employment Development, allows students to borrow up to $3,000 in order to launch their own business. For more information on this program, contact your regional Youth Development Officer or your local office of the New Brunswick Department of Training & Employment Development (TED).
Not 16? The Next Gen Biz Fund allows youths who are not 16 and want to start their own business to do so and create their own summer job. This program is offered by The Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative allows a youth to borrow up to 500$ to start their own summer business experience. For more information, contact your regional Youth Development Officer.
